Description

Lab102-429 belongs to the BRD博锐迪 T429 polyester cryogenic label series. It uses matte white PET polyester film as the face stock and is compatible with a four-stage temperature chain: -196 °C liquid nitrogen, -80 °C freezers, 100 °C hot water, and 121 °C autoclaving. The 50 × 60 mm vertical large format allows full-length vertical labeling along the body of cryovials, with a single label accommodating the complete ID, barcode, and notes fields; the labeled area is writable by hand, enabling quick supplementary entry when printed information is missing. Suitable for biobanks, drug discovery, clinical laboratory testing, and other scenarios requiring long-term low-temperature traceability.

Product Overview

Lab102-429 is a laboratory cryogenic label made with matte white PET polyester film face stock and a single-side cryogenic adhesive coating, maintaining adhesion and legibility from -196 °C liquid nitrogen to 121 °C autoclaving. This model is produced according to the T429 polyester series process. When applied to cylindrical surfaces such as cryovials, an overlap of ≥3 mm at the ends is recommended; the 50 × 60 mm vertical design (width 50 mm, height 60 mm) provides a larger information-bearing surface along the tube body, allowing complete layout of patient ID, specimen barcode, collection date, and experimental notes, reducing the need to stack multiple labels. Printed content remains clearly legible after long-term storage at -80 °C and 121 °C autoclaving, making it suitable for high-value specimens that undergo the full cold chain and rewarming process. Whether used with thermal-transfer ribbons or handwritten with a marker, it enables full life-cycle specimen identification and traceability.

Key Features

  • Full four-stage temperature chain: T429 has passed testing at -196 °C liquid nitrogen, -80 °C freezer, 100 °C hot water, and 121 °C autoclaving, meeting the complete workflow from ultra-low temperature storage to rewarming and sterilization.
  • Vertical large format: The 60 mm height vertical layout accommodates multiple lines of ID, long barcodes, dates, and notes, preventing field truncation that can occur with horizontal layouts; ideal for full-length vertical labeling along the cryovial body.
  • Print + handwriting dual mode: After thermal-transfer printing, a marker can still be used for handwritten supplementary entries, suitable for temporary IDs, anomaly flags, and other flexible scenarios.
  • ≥3 mm overlap on cryovial surfaces: When applied to cryovial surfaces, overlap the ends by at least 3 mm to ensure edges do not lift or detach after repeated low-temperature handling.
  • Complete system compatibility: Recommended with BRL-80-BK / BRL-110-BK cryogenic ribbons and M611, EOS2/3, MACH4S laboratory label printers.

Typical Applications

  • Biobank cryovial archiving: For full-length vertical labeling along cryovial and microcentrifuge tube bodies, accommodating specimen ID, barcode, collection date, and project code; remains clearly legible after long-term storage at -80 °C.
  • Drug discovery laboratories: Low-temperature identification of candidate compounds, cell lines, and reagent aliquot tubes; the vertical format enables quick scanning of IDs on racks, with handwritten supplementary entries for anomalies after printing.
  • Clinical laboratory and pathology: Suitable for specimen workflows requiring 100 °C hot water rewarming or 121 °C autoclaving; printed content withstands sterilization steam without blurring or detachment.
  • Cryobox / rack zone marking: The 50 mm width fits cryobox slots, and the 60 mm height allows application to box sides or rack posts as secondary location identification for tube outer packaging.

FAQ

  • What does "writable" mean for Lab102-429? It means the label face stock allows quick writing of IDs with a laboratory marker on blank areas or across the entire label; before formal archiving, it is recommended to verify writing durability under the same temperature conditions.
  • Difference from Lab127-429? Lab127-429 is 60 × 30 mm horizontal, suitable for long barcodes arranged horizontally; Lab102-429 is vertical with higher vertical information capacity, suitable for full-length vertical labeling along tube bodies and side marking on cryoboxes.
  • Can it be applied to microscope slides? The official application scope of T429 covers cryovials/test tubes and packaging labeling; microscope slides are not included. For microscope slide labeling, use T629 nylon cloth labels or T424 chemical-resistant labels instead.
  • Low-temperature application requirements? When applying T429 to cryovial surfaces, overlap the ends by at least 3 mm; after unrolling, use the labels as soon as possible to prevent the adhesive surface from attracting dust, which can affect low-temperature adhesion.

Selection & Usage Guide

Lab102-429 is positioned as a "vertical writable large-format" label, suitable for specimens with many fields, full-length vertical tube labeling, or side zoning on cryoboxes. When selecting, first confirm the temperature chain the specimen will undergo and the container type, then decide the label orientation. If the specimen will undergo the liquid nitrogen stage, ensure sufficient end overlap during application to prevent edge lifting at ultra-low temperatures. For the longest horizontal format, choose Lab127-429; for three-across, choose Lab014-429; for bulk printing, choose Lab169-429-3; for temperatures above -40 °C only, switch to T419/T329; for microscope slides/conical tubes, switch to T629; for pathology solvent resistance, switch to T424 + BRS ribbon.

Usage Notes

Note: Although T429 covers four temperature stages, temperature resistance does not equal resistance to all chemical solvents. The "microscope slide" mentioned in the page name is inconsistent with the official application scope of T429; for actual microscope slide scenarios, use T629 or T424 instead.
