Product Overview
Lab066-629 cryovial LN₂ labels use T629 nylon cloth as the face stock and are general-purpose laboratory cloth labels for the full temperature range from -196 °C LN₂ to 121 °C autoclaving. At 38.1 × 19.05 mm (imperial 1.5 × 0.75 in), the 38.1 mm horizontal width accommodates a complete specimen ID barcode, while the 19.05 mm vertical height supports a two-line layout—one line for the barcode, one for product name and date—balancing information capacity with the contact area on the tube body. In the official material guide, T629 is the only nylon cloth grade that simultaneously covers LN₂ -196 °C, freezer -80 °C, hot water 100 °C, autoclaving 121 °C and ambient temperature, as well as all application positions including microscope slides, cryovials/test tubes and conical tubes—making it suitable as a general-purpose base-stock label for biobanks.
Compared with rigid-film cryogenic labels, the value of nylon cloth lies in "deforming with the container": when a cryovial is taken from -196 °C LN₂ and transferred to a 37 °C water bath for thawing, the tube diameter changes repeatedly with thermal expansion and contraction, and the cloth substrate stretches and rebounds accordingly, so the printed layer is less prone to the edge lifting and adhesive peeling common with rigid films; the same roll of labels then extends to the 121 °C autoclaving process, and the identification remains fully legible. For laboratories running both deep-freeze storage and post-sterilization recovery workflows, this means a single identification system covers the entire lifecycle of a cryovial—from intake and aliquoting to sterilization and recovery—with no label change when tubes change, reducing the risk of missed or misapplied labels.
Key Features
布
Nylon cloth face stock, conforms to curved surfaces
The soft, pliable cloth substrate adheres to the curved walls of cryovials and conical tubes without lifting or edge peeling, and stays flat after repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
温
Four temperature ranges in one pass
Suitable for LN₂ -196 °C, freezer -80 °C, hot water 100 °C and autoclaving 121 °C—no label change needed from deep freezing to sterilization in a single workflow.
排
Two-line information layout
The 38.1 mm horizontal width fits a barcode, and the 19.05 mm clear height accommodates one more line for product name/date, so scanning and visual verification do not compete for space.
供
Full-roll supply, 500–1000 labels
500–1000 labels/roll full-roll packaging with a choice of rounded or square corners—convenient for both bulk tube labeling and single-label replacement.

Typical Applications
Direct application to cryovial bodies
Applied to the flat section of the cryovial body, presenting two lines of information at once; long-term storage at -196 °C in the dewar, with no edge lifting on removal and thawing.
Curved-surface labeling on conical and test tubes
Nylon cloth conforms to cover the conical body of conical centrifuge tubes and the curved walls of test tubes, remaining fully scannable after ultra-low temperature wrap-around application.
Universal for microscope slides and ambient containers
Covers the microscope slide label area as well as ambient reagent bottles and packaging identification—one roll serves all workstations in the biobank, reducing the variety of stock.
FAQ
Q: Can this roll of labels be used for both -196 °C LN₂ and 121 °C autoclaving?
A: Yes. In the official material guide, T629 nylon cloth is checked for all five ranges—LN₂ -196 °C, freezer -80 °C, hot water 100 °C, autoclaving 121 °C and ambient—making it the cloth grade with the most comprehensive coverage in this series.
Q: Which ribbon and printer should be used with it?
A: Match with BRL-80-BK / BRL-110-BK laboratory cryogenic ribbons; compatible with M611, EOS2/3 and MACH4S laboratory label printers. Printed content resists low temperatures without fading.
Q: How to choose between rounded and square corners?
A: For curved-surface wrap-around or tube-body labeling, rounded corners are recommended as the corners are less likely to lift; for flat archiving scenarios such as microscope slides, square corners give neater alignment. Both corner shapes are available.
Selection & Usage Guide
- This is the 38.1 × 19.05 mm imperial two-line format; for wrap-around scenarios requiring a longer barcode width, see the 38 × 12 mm long-strip format, and for full three-line information, consider the 30 × 25 mm near-square format.
- For ultra-low temperature applications, overlap the ends when applying to the cryovial surface and confirm the printed surface is firmly adhered before placing into the dewar—this is a general application requirement for LN₂ labels.
- For ambient or routine freezer stock that only needs to withstand above -40 °C, switch to the T419 gloss white PET or T329 matte white PP economy grades to reduce per-roll cost.
- For biobanks with large sample volumes and mixed specifications, we recommend requesting samples for trial use first, then configuring rolls in bulk by container type; for more materials and specific applications, please contact the product manager for selection.
Note: Wear protective equipment when working in LN₂ environments; ensure the overlap section is pressed firmly before placing labels into the dewar to prevent LN₂ from seeping into the adhesive layer and affecting adhesion. Temperature grades are subject to the official material guide; do not use beyond the rated environment.
