Product Overview

Item No. Lab045-629, T629 LN₂ label series, suited to sample management where each tube has its own record and information volume is high.

Lab045-629 biobank labels use T629 nylon cloth face stock in a 30x25mm near-square die-cut, designed for labeling cryovials, microcentrifuge tubes and small reagent bottles across -196 °C LN₂ to +121 °C autoclaving. The near-square format is the defining feature of this item: compared with narrow, elongated versions, a single label can stack three lines vertically—sample ID, storage date and barcode—without crowding, leaving room for both manual verification and barcode scanner reading.

The face stock is off-white nylon cloth; the cloth-textured background gives even toner adhesion, keeping thermal-transfer print legible in deep-freeze and humid-heat environments. Nylon cloth is flexible and conformable, adhering flat whether wrapped around small-diameter tube bodies or applied directly to microcentrifuge tube sidewalls, without edge lifting or cracking after freeze–thaw cycles.

Key Features

Format
Near-square three-line format
The 30x25mm format stacks ID, date and barcode in three vertical lines, giving complete per-tube records—ideal for position-based biobank management.
Material
Off-white nylon cloth
Cloth substrate withstands high-low temperature cycling; the off-white background sets off printed content, and thermal-transfer print resists deep freeze and abrasion.
Application
Versatile across containers
Direct application or wrap-around on cryovials, microcentrifuge tubes and small reagent bottles; rounded or square corners selected to match container shape.
Roll
Continuous roll feed
500-1000 labels/roll; batch label production with BRL-80-BK / BRL-110-BK ribbons and M611, EOS2/3, MACH4S printers.

Three-Line Layout & Application Guide

  • Recommended three-line layout: line 1 sample ID, line 2 storage date and operator initials, line 3 barcode; leave at least 1mm between lines to ensure scanner readability.
  • For small-diameter cryovials, wrap-around application is recommended, with ends meeting to cover the tube body fully; direct sidewall application is sufficient for microcentrifuge tubes and small reagent bottles.
  • Rounded corners suit wrap-around on tube bodies, with smooth edge transitions that resist lifting; square corners suit square containers and neat layouts.
  • Before printing, verify density and position with a sample applied to the actual container, then proceed to batch roll production.

Typical Applications

Position-based biobank management
One tube per cryobox position; the near-square format faces the position directly, so three lines of information can be verified visually outside the box, reducing opening and searching.
Microbial strain and cell line preservation
Strain ID, passage date and barcode listed together on one label; long-term legibility under -80 °C and LN₂ two-tier storage.
Small reagent aliquot labeling
Applied directly to aliquot reagent bottles; labels remain intact and print legible after 100 °C hot water baths and 121 °C autoclaving.
Clinical sample pre-processing
Labeling of aliquot tubes after blood collection tube transport; full temperature range coverage spans centrifugation, refrigeration and deep storage.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between off-white and bright white versions?
A: This item has an off-white nylon cloth base with a soft look and cloth texture; the bright white version in the same T629 material has a separate item number, with identical temperature range and usage—choose by appearance preference.
Q: Is 30x25mm too large for small tubes?
A: Wrapped around a cryovial, it covers the tube body fully while three lines of vertically stacked information remain legible; if only a single-line barcode is needed or the tube diameter is very small, choose the 30x15mm or 35x16mm narrow versions.
Q: Will the print blur after autoclaving?
A: Printed by thermal transfer with BRL-80-BK / BRL-110-BK cryogenic ribbons, it withstands 121 °C autoclaving and 100 °C hot water, with print remaining legible after sterilization.
Q: Is end overlap required?
A: T629 nylon cloth conforms well; both direct application and wrap-around withstand -196 °C. Mandatory overlap applies to the T509 vinyl version in LN₂ environments—the two items are distinguished by working conditions.

Selection & Usage Guide

For multi-scenario biobank use, prioritize the T629 nylon cloth version; for routine freezing only down to -40 °C, switch to the T419 bright white PET or T329 matte white PP economy versions; for freezer tube surfaces requiring overlap reinforcement, choose T429; for pathology applications involving xylene and H&E staining, choose T424 with BRS series ribbons; for 6-color top pre-printed classification, use T439; for a transparent window to observe liquid levels, use the T459 self-laminating version; for removable, re-stickable use, choose T625.

Note: -40 °C routine freezer versions cannot replace this item in LN₂ or -80 °C ultra-low temperature applications; for special conditions, test with samples first and proceed to batch labeling after verification.
