Product Overview

Lab277-329 is a roll-format cryogenic label using T329 cryogenic matte white/PP synthetic paper self-adhesive as the face stock, with a single label size of 80 × 80 mm. It is used for low-temperature refrigerated labeling of large-diameter cryovials, conical tubes, microcentrifuge tube bodies and reagent bottle caps. The matte white PP face stock is non-reflective, providing high black-and-white contrast for barcodes and text and stable scanner reading; the adhesive is formulated for low-temperature environments and maintains adhesion under -40 °C refrigerated conditions, making it suitable for biobanks, clinical laboratories, blood banks and other scenarios requiring batch labeling of cryogenic containers.

Temperature note: Based on the T329 material, this product is suitable for refrigerated and frozen environments at -40 °C and above; for -80 °C ULT freezers or -196 °C liquid nitrogen applications, please choose T429 freezer labels or T629 nylon cloth labels. Contact the product manager to confirm selection.

Key Features

Four aspects of this large square label and where it fits

材
Matte white PP synthetic paper face stock
Matte, non-reflective surface provides high contrast for printed barcodes and text, clear for both scanning in cryoboxes and visual verification; PP substrate is tear-resistant and moisture-resistant, and print remains legible when condensation forms on the surface after removal from refrigeration.
温
Resistant to -40 °C freezer storage
The T329 series is designed for -40 °C refrigerated and frozen scenarios, covering standard freezer storage, cold-chain transfer and other low-temperature stages; after labeling at room temperature and placing in the freezer, labels do not crack or lift at the edges.
版
80 × 80 mm large format
The large square single label accommodates multiple lines of information including product name, ID number, date and 1D/2D barcodes, and is also suitable for folding over to wrap small-diameter tube bodies, ensuring one code per vial with minimal confusion.
贴
Multi-container compatible
Rounded-corner die-cut conforms to the curved surfaces of conical tubes and microcentrifuge tubes, and is equally suitable for top-labeling reagent bottle caps; one specification covers mainstream laboratory containers, reducing the variety of stock items.

Typical Applications

Biobank cryovial labeling
Print specimen ID, collection date and barcode before placing cryovials into storage; the large format accommodates complete traceability information, enabling rapid inventory with one code per tube in cryoboxes.
Reagent bottle cap top-labeling
Suitable for circular application on bottle cap tops; contents and expiry date can be identified upon opening, reducing the need to repeatedly pick up bottles for verification.
Conical tube / microcentrifuge tube batch aliquoting
Print by aliquoting batch and dispense from the roll; rounded-corner die-cut conforms to the curved surface of conical tubes, with no label loss or scale obstruction during refrigerated transfer.
Cold storage transfer boxes and packaging labeling
T329 is a material suitable for packaging labeling and can also be used for low-temperature logistics labels on transfer boxes and packaging bags, keeping ID numbers consistent inside and outside the box.

FAQ

Q: How should the -80 °C in the page title be understood?
A: The face stock of this product is T329, which by material positioning is suitable for low-temperature environments at -40 °C and above; for -80 °C ULT and -196 °C liquid nitrogen, please choose the T429 or T629 series. If unsure, contact the product manager to confirm selection based on container and actual temperature.
Q: Approximately how many labels per roll?
A: Based on 80 × 80 mm layout, the exact number per roll is subject to the product specification sheet; roll packaging with a roll-format printer enables continuous dispensing, suitable for batch aliquoting print runs.
Q: Will edges lift after labeling and placing in the freezer?
A: The T329 adhesive is a low-temperature formulation; it is recommended to label at room temperature and let stand before placing in the freezer so the adhesive layer fully bonds to the tube wall; wipe off condensation on the tube wall before labeling.

Selection & Usage Guide

Four steps to confirm whether this product is right for you

1
Confirm minimum temperature
If only down to -40 °C refrigerated/frozen, choose this product; for -80 °C freezers or liquid nitrogen tanks, choose T429 (overlap application) or T629 nylon cloth.
2
Check container and application method
For flat application on tube bodies, choose this large square label; if wrap-around coverage is needed for small-diameter tubes, confirm whether the 80 mm edge length is sufficient to wrap around; if not, switch to a smaller size in the same series.
3
Check printing equipment
Roll-format thermal-transfer printing with matching laboratory cryogenic ribbon; for mixed or resin ribbons, run a small batch test print first to confirm adhesion.
4
Trial application verification
Before full-scale production, apply 5–10 labels to actual containers and perform adhesion and low-temperature cycle testing; proceed to full volume only after 24 hours with no edge lifting or displacement.
Note: Labels must be applied to clean, dry surfaces; wipe off condensation or frost on tube walls first; labeling immediately after removal from low temperature will affect initial adhesion due to condensation—adhesion is stronger after rewarming.
